Abstract

The invention relates to a process for manufacturing packaging tubes as well as an installation for implementing the said process. According to the invention, the body 2 of the tube 1 to be manufactured is arranged around the mandrel 9 of the mould 8 for producing the shoulder 4. The quantity of material necessary for producing the shoulder 4 of the head 5 of the tube 1 is placed in the die 10 of the said mould 8. The shoulder 4 and the head 5 are formed by inserting the mandrel 9 into the die 10, so as to form a junction between the body 2 and the shoulder 4, and then the tube 1 is disengaged from the mould cavity of the die 10 by rotation of the said die which enables the threaded head 5 of the tube 1 to be disengaged. The invention will find its application most particularly in the plastics industry for the manufacture of packaging tubes for pasty products, such as pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, toothpaste or other products.
