Abstract

Device intended to protect the cutting chain of chainsaws. The invention relates to a device making it possible to protect the users of motor saws against the risk of contact with the cutting chain of their machines. It comprises a cover 1, covering over the chain 8 as well as the chain guide 7, pivoting on a pin 3 fixed to the frame of the machine 6. A return spring 9 tends to hold it in this position. The lower part of the cover 1 bears on the material to be cut 14 and lifts up gradually as the chain penetrates the material. At the end of cutting, or in the case of kickback, the spring 9 instantly returns the cover 1 to its initial position. The device according to the invention may be adapted and fitted to all types and models of motor saw.

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de protection mécanique de la channe de coupe des tronçonneuses destinées h couper le bois ou autres matériaux.
