Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to the technical sector of mounting fixed or mobile openings in buildings. The device is noteworthy in that the elements E making up the openings are established during manufacture with projections 1 oriented perpendicularly to the face of the wooden frame B on which the said element comes to rest; the said projections having at their end an opening 1b intended for being passed through by an assembly member 2 engaged in the wooden frame perpendicularly to the opening of the projection after engagement of the said projection in a notch B1 of the frame provided for this purpose.

Description

 The invention relates to a device for fixing and retaining elements of metal or other joinery on wooden frames, for all openings in the building.

 The object of the invention relates to the technical sector of the assembly of fixed or mobile openings in the building.

 According to the invention, it was desired to achieve in a reliable, rapid and economical manner, the assembly of the elements making up the fixed or mobile openings on wooden frames forming the opening or the frames of the openings.

 For this, according to a first characteristic, provision is made in the manufacture of metal or other profiles constituting the elements of the opening, projections oriented perpendicular to the face of the wooden frame on which the said element is applied, the said projections having their end an opening intended to be crossed by an assembly member engaged in the wooden frame perpendicular to the opening of the projection, after engagement of said projection in a notch of the frame provided for this purpose.

 These characteristics and others will become apparent from the description which follows.

 To fix the object of the invention without however limiting it, in the accompanying drawings, various openings are illustrated equipped with the device according to the invention.

 Figure 1 is a small scale front view showing a French window with three panels, two of which are opening.

 In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is now described in nonlimiting embodiments illustrated in the figures of the drawings.

The device according to the invention applies to all types of openings and each time that it is necessary to fix elements of metal joinery of alloy for example, on a wooden frame (standing or opening)
To this end, there are shown in Figures 1, 5, 7 and 10 different models of openings where there is a metal-wood assembly according to the invention.

 Figures 1 to 4 relate to a French window (PF1) with three panels, two of which are opening (P1-P2), the third (P3) being fixed.

 As illustrated in FIGS. 2, 3, and 4, the various metallic elements (E) making up this opening, are fixed and retained by means of the devices according to the invention.

 the same is true for the double casement window (F1) illustrated in FIG. 5, for the casement window (F2) illustrated in FIG. 7, for the French window (PF2) or solid door illustrated in FIG. 10, as well as for the tilt-and-turn window (F3) of figure 11, and for all other types of openings.

 The assembly device according to the invention, for all metallic elements or made of synthetic materials, consists of a projection (1) established at the construction of the profiled element, and extending perpendicular to the face on which it s 'attachment on the side opposite the surface of the wooden frame (B) which must receive the element.

 At its free end, the projection forms a ring (la) the section of which, thinned with respect to the projection, is produced in any suitable form (round, hexagonal, square, etc.).

 As we see in the figures, the ring (la) engages completely in a frame (B1) of the wooden frame and, when the metal element, or the elements assembled together beforehand, are amplified on their frame, they are held there by any assembly means such as by wood screws (2) passing through the central opening (lob) of the panels (la) perpendicular to the projection (1).

 Note that to facilitate the assembly operation, the screws (2) can be engaged in advance in pilot holes on the frame, up to the level of the notch. Other assembly means can be provided, for example: keys, nails, etc.

 Of course, on each element to be assembled to the frame, there may be on the same line as many ring projections as is necessary in the length and possibly several lines of projections at different angles to assemble on several faces of the frame. On the other hand, the rings (la) can cooperate with a single notch (B1) made over the entire length or almost or with notches limited to the dimensions of the rings.

 The advantages clearly emerge from the description, the advantage of this type of assembly is further emphasized: ease and speed of disassembly, reliability of the assembly that cannot be dismantled with nails and keys, time saving, sealing, economic construction, possibility to assemble the metallic elements one by one, zero influence of the expansion of the elements.

 The invention is in no way limited to that of its modes of application any more than to those of the embodiments of its various parts which have been more particularly indicated; on the contrary, it embraces all its variants.

Claims (5)

-1- Device for fixing and retaining elements of metal joinery on wooden frames, for all openings in the building, characterized in that the elements (E) constituting the openings are established during production with projections (1) oriented perpendicular to the face of the wooden frame (B) on which said element is applied; said projections having at their end an opening (lb) intended to be crossed by an assembly member (2) engaged in the wooden frame perpendicular to the opening of the projection, after engagement of said projection in a notch (Bl) of the framework provided for this purpose. -2- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the opening (lb) of the projection (1) is executed in a ring (la) of thickness greater than the thickness of the projection, and of round section , hexagonal or square. -3- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that each metal element (E) has over all or part of its length and on the same line several projections with opening. -4- Device according to claims 1 and 3 together, characterized in that each metal element (E) has over all or part of its length several lines of projections with opening, in particular at angles. different, to assemble the wooden frame on several sides. -5- Device according to claimllcaractérisé in that the assembly member with the opening (lb) of the projection is a wood screw (2) previously engaged in a pilot hole of the frame to the level of opening (lob) -6- Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the assembly member with the suv-erturee (-lbCeda-la lasaila (l} is- not removable, of the key or nail type, engaged in force into a hole in the wooden frame.  -7- Device according to claims 1 and 2 together, characterized in that the notch (Bl) of the frame receiving the ring (la) is limited to the dimensions of said ring. -8- Device according to claims 1 and 2 together, characterized in that the notch (Bl) of the frame receiving the ring (la), is formed over the entire length or almost of the wooden frame.
