Abstract

Method for the creation of mural decorations and pictures, characterised in that it consists: - beginning with a support, such as a wooden panel or a wall, to which several coating layers are successively applied with careful sanding between each layer; - in depositing fine layers of printing ink on the now-prepared support; - in etching the picture e.g. decoration, images, people; - in then removing certain parts of the picture and sanding down other parts to remove the ink, wholly or partly, so as to produce layers of paint with inks of different colours on the stripped parts, and - in lastly etching again through the painted parts.

Description

 The present invention relates to a new process for producing paintings and wall decorations.

 Until now in the art of decoration, painting and fresco, artists have used in particular egg painting, oil painting, watercolor etc ... The present invention proposes '' bring a new technique using printing inks.

 Printing inks are currently used only for printing on paper. It is found that such inks, soluble in organic solvents such as gasoline, as well as oil paints, but much more resistant and stable than the latter, lend themselves well to the production of paintings on wood and wall decors. In addition the printing inks, washable with batten and soap, are weatherproof.

 The invention proposes to provide a method combining the effects of painting and engraving while making it possible to obtain a range of colors at least as rich as an oil painting.

This invention therefore relates to a method for producing paintings and wall decorations characterized in that it consists of i O - from a support, for example consisting of a wooden panel or

 To better understand the process which is the subject of this invention, an example of implementation which is devoid of any limiting nature is given below.

We start from a support consisting of a blockboard (preferably marine-grade plywood, okoumé or other weather-resistant wood), on which three to six layers of water or oil, of the type
used in building. In the case where a water-based coating is used, one waits 24 hours between each layer and in the case of oil-based coating one waits 3 days between each layer. Each layer is ltobj and carefully sanded with emery cloth and increasingly fine sandpaper, taking special care in sanding the last layer.

 On the support thus obtained, two thin layers of printing ink are deposited, for example with a light brush, roller or sponge, waiting 24 hours between each layer.

 Then we proceed to the actual painting. To this end, the decoration, the characters, etc. are engraved, for example using engraving points, needles mounted on a mandrel, etc., then some parts of the support are scraped, for example with a blade. razor, and sand other parts with abrasive paper, to remove the ink partially or completely (the first layer being generally a layer of black ink, however one can use an ink of any color). This technique allows layers of inks of various colors to be painted on the pickled parts and then engraved again through the painted parts.

 Finally, we can sand the table obtained using a metal polisher to bli confer the appearance of a lacquer or varnish it with transparent printing ink, in an ultra-thin layer. , to give it the appearance of an old oil painting.

 It remains to be understood that this invention is not limited to the embodiment described here, but that it encompasses all variants thereof. Thus, in particular, the method can be implemented on supports other than wood, for example directly on a wall.

 1- Process for the production of paintings and wall decorations, characterized in that it consists of  - from a support, such as in particular a wooden panel or a wall, on which several layers of plaster are successively deposited by making a careful sanding between each layer  - deposit thin layers of printing ink on the support thus prepared  - proceed to the engraving of the painting, in particular decoration, figures, characters,  - then eliminate certain parts of the table and sand other parts by removing the ink, partially or totally, so as to make layers of paint with inks of various colors on the stripped parts and  - finally engrave again through the painted parts.  2- A method according to claim 1, characterized in that there is provided a final step which consists of a fine sanding of the table to give it the appearance of a lacquer.  3. - Method according to claim 1, characterized in that there is provided a final step which consists in varnishing the table using a thin layer Extremely of transparent printing ink to give it the appearance of old oil painting.  4. - Method according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that one uses an oil or water coating of the type used in the building technique.
