Abstract

It is constituted by the combination of a tubular mandrel 1 comprising a series of springy longitudinal slots with an inflatable and impervious volume (container) 9, of the same diameter and length, which is inserted concentrically. It is intended for instantaneously immobilising, on its rotary support, the detachable tubular element made from cardboard or the like, onto which the articles of fabric, or other products having the form of films or flexible webs of any width, are wound.

Description

 The object of the invention relates to a pneumatic mandrel device for reels for winding fabrics and the like.

 I1 is intended to immobilize instantly on its rotary support, the removable tubular element of cardboard or the like, on which the pieces of fabric are wound, or other products is presented in the form of films or flexible strips of all widths.

 Until now, the winding mandrels received the cardboard tubular coils used in the textile industries, papers, plastics or metallic wrapping bands and the like consisted of pins and conical profiled immobilization pins. These elements were not satisfactory due to the deformations undergone by the coils and the long set-up times. They often proved to be ineffective while damaging the coils.

 The device according to the invention eliminates these drawbacks and allows immediate stabilization and immobilization of the cardboard cylindrical coils in one or more pieces on their drive carrying elements.

 It is constituted by the combination of a tubular mandrel comprising a series of longitudinal elasticity slots and of a capacity of the same diameter and tight and inflatable length introduced concentrically.

 The pneumatic chuck, FIGS. 1, 2, 3 is constituted by a tubular metallic element 1, comprising longitudinal slots 2, 3, 4 and the like. These slots did not reach the ends which form integral bearing surfaces 5, 6 and non-deformable. These ends receive such accessories allowing the lift, the training and the structuring of the frame.

 Against by the longitudinal sectors 7, 8 located between the slots, constitute deformable and elastic parts such as lamellae.

 In this notched metal cylinder is introduced a deformable capacity 9 with flexible and elastic walls. This capacity 9 is sealed and includes an inflation valve 10. Its elasticity is limited to avoid excessive expansion risking excessive deformation of the strips.

 On this split metallic tubular element 1, and the inflatable capacity 9, the cardboard reel 11 is placed which slides freely.

 It then suffices to inflate the sealed capacity 9 to increase its diameter and spread the elastic strips 7, 8 by making them press against the periphery; internal 12 of the cardboard reel which is immobilized. It is even possible to juxtapose several sectors of coils of different dimensions.

 Tissues and the like are thus wound on said coil which is perfectly stabilized over its entire internal periphery.

 At the end of the operation, a partial deflation of the capacity 9 allows the elastic strips 7, 8 to return to their initial position as soon as the force which acted on their surface ceases to occur, we can then instantly withdraw the coil.

 This quick fixing means eliminates any anchoring accessory used to date, which allows a considerable lowering of the cost price and a fast execution maneuver ensuring a significant saving of time. While improving performance.

 This device can be used in all industries where it is necessary to wind, unwind or distribute fabrics, papers, plastic, metallic and other films.

 However, the shapes, dimensions and arrangements of the various elements may vary within the limit of the equivalents, like, moreover, the materials used for their manufacture without changing the general conception of the invention which has just been described.

Claims (6)

 10 Pneumatic chuck device for reels for winding fabrics and the like intended to immobilize instantly on a rotating support the removable tubular element of cardboard or the like, on which the fabrics or other products in the form of films or strips are wound up flexible of all widths and lengths, characterized by the combination of a tubular mandrel (1) comprising a series of longitudinal elasticity slots (2, 39 4) with a capacity of the same diameter and length (9) sealed and inflatable introduced concentrically.  20 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the tubular metal element (1) comprises series of longitudinal slots (2, 3, 4) made at a sufficient distance from the ends to produce integral bearing surfaces (5, 6) and undeformable.  30 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the longitudinal slits (2, 3, 4) and others determine elastic and deformable lamellar sectors returning to their original position as soon as the force which acted on them ceases to occur.  40 Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the cylindrical capacity of the same diameter and the same length (9) introduced concentrically into the split metal element (1) is substantially elastic, inflatable and deformable, comprising a valve (10 ) and limited elasticity to avoid excessive deformation of the slats.  50 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the mandrel (1) with lamellae (2, 3, 4) and others forming a spring concentrically supports the tubular element forming a coil (11) whose internal periphery- (12) - and of diameter approaching its support. 4 Sheets
