Abstract

The needle for transferring a loop in the transverse direction for a circular knitting machine is constituted in such a fashion as to be robust and of easy manufacture allowing very gentle operation. Near its upper end terminated by a hook 6, the needle carries, above a tab 7, a portion 2 which is offset parallel to an edge from which extends a fin 3 having an inclined upper edge 4 descending to a marginal portion 3' folded back at right angles with respect to the bottom 3'' of the fin.
