TEMPERATURE REGULATING DEVICE
BUTTER LOCATED IN A REFRIGERATOR COMPARTMENT
AND REFRIGERATOR PROVIDED WITH SUCH A DEVICE.

Some refrigerators have a con compartment
butter service, associated with a resistance electrical circuit
allowing to warm the butter and bring it to a
temperature as it is "spreadable", whatever the type of
butter used.

These compartments provided in the refrigerators for receivers
see the butter are usually located in the storm doors, this
which is advantageous both for their accessibility and for their
thermal equilibrium, the temperature of these compartments being
generally a little higher than the prevailing temperature at
inside the refrigerator. Indeed, this compartment being located

This refrigerator comprises, in known manner, a motor-compressor C whose cyclic operation is provided by a thermostat actuating a thermostatic switch 1T for opening or closing the power supply circuit of the motor compressor C which is associated with a refrigerant circuit
According to the invention, this resistor R is connected to the terminals of the thermostatic switch IT.

During the cyclic operation of the motor-compressor C, the resistor R is supplied with voltage (by the sector for example)
when this thermostatic switch BT is open, that is to say
when the motor-compressor C is stopped. In this case, the resistor R is fed through the motor-compressor C, the motor windings of which represent practically a short circuit with respect to the resistor R.

 When the outside temperature rises, the motor-compressor C operates more often and the resistance R control of the temperature of the butter runs therefore less time. For lower outside temperatures, the motor-compressor C runs less often and the resistor R is powered longer.

 It can thus be seen that, in this case, the electrical resistance R will bring to the compartment "butter" a variable quantity of heat which will be a function of the temperature difference at T existing between the inside temperature of the refrigerator and the outside ambient temperature.

 The second embodiment of the device for controlling the temperature of butter in a refrigerator, according to the invention, as shown in FIG. 2, allows a choice of temperatures for butters of different types, including the comsumption temperature (butter spreadable). is higher or lower.

 This device comprises an electronic circuit supplied with alternating voltage and comprising a resistor R and a diode D which can be put in series with the resistor R by means of a three-position switch I 1, 2, 2, 3 3, for example. In the example shown, the position 2-2 corresponds to the energization of the resistor R only, that is to say that the voltage V of the sector is applied across the resistor R, while the position 3 -3 corresponds to the series connection of the diode D with the resistor R, which has the consequence of applying across the resistor a voltage V / 2, the diode D being blocked for one of the alternations of the AC voltage supplied by the mains.

 The heating circuit of the butter is supplied with voltage when the thermostatic switch IT is open, that is to say when the motor-compressor C is in phase-off, whereas, when the motor-compressor C operates (thermostatic switch IT closed), the heating circuit, that is to say the resistor R alone or the resistor R and the diode D in series, is no longer supplied because it is short-circuited by the thermostatic switch IT.
