Abstract

The package to secure four bottles is made from a single flat blank folded around the bottles so that the two ends (15) overlap under the bottoms of the bottles (5). The central panel (4) then forms a flat top for stacking, and has two punched openings (7) forming finger grips. Cuts made in selected positions form locating regions for the bottle tops (6) and bases (16) to hold the bottles in position. The two ends are open. The upper cuts include T shaped cuts combined with fold lines to form side panels (21,22) and horizontal upper strips (19) allowing the caps to protrude. The lower cuts are formed in a pattern giving sloping side tabs (28) and central flaps (25) to retain the bases of the bottles.

Description

 The invention relates to a cutting of cardboard packaging material, or similar material, for multiple packaging of containers, in particular of bottles, comprising an upper part provided with cutouts for edges of the containers and / or grip openings as well as lateral parts covering the containers laterally and bottom parts which can be assembled.

 Multiple packages are known for bottles, boxes, or similar containers. In general, the different containers are retained at their edges by a packaging cutout, while on the side faces, the packaging cutout surrounds the containers and is connected to its bottom portions.

 In packaging cuts of this kind, before manufacturing the packaging, various perforations are practiced in the cutting, and the cardboard scraps are rejected in the manufacturing process. Cutting or detaching the cardboard scraps requires an additional operation and causes difficulties in eliminating the scraps to be cut.

 This is why the invention aims to give a cut of packaging material of the species defined above a constitution such that one can even manufacture it directly in a packaging machine and then use it, s no special precautions for packing the containers.

 According to the invention, this problem is essentially resolved by the fact that, for the formation of openings intended for the edges of the containers, there are provided exclusively slots formed and arranged so that in the wrapped state, tongues and flaps integral with the package and through which the containers pass through the package.

 Thus, thanks to the constitution provided by the invention, no cuts are made, so that there are no cardboard scraps. As a result, it is possible to practice immediately with the packaging, by means of suitable devices, the grooves and the slots of cutouts completely printed.

 An exemplary preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that folding edges between the upper part and the roof faces are provided, at each place where the containers in the wrapped state touch or cut the roof faces , a T-shaped slot, the horizontal part of which is parallel to the corresponding folding edge and joins at its ends hinge tabs so as to form covering tabs situated in the plane of the upper part, only to form two flaps, roughly below the outer corners of the horizontal part of the T-slot, are bent slots, the length and angle of which are calculated, so that at their ends are formed articulation nets and that the roof faces are connected, by means of folding edges or grooves, lateral faces which, by means of oblique parts, join bottom flaps which can overlap and be assembled, the oblique part being each time joined to the lateral face as to the bottom flap by folding edges.

 According to another advantageous embodiment, in the region of the oblique portions are arranged trapezoidal slots serving to form a tangential tongue as well as articulation slots serving to form flaps, so that between the slot articulation and trapezoidal slot, there remain articulation nets.

 According to another advantageous embodiment, the articulation slots are interrupted by articulation nets.

 If necessary, in a manner known per se, at the top may be provided slots serving to form grip openings.

 Other details and particularities of the invention will be explained more precisely with reference to the drawings, which schematically show an exemplary embodiment, and in which FIG. 1 represents a multiple packaging produced by means of a cut of packaging material. according to the invention, and Figure 2 shows a cut of packaging material according to the invention, flat, before processing.

 FIG. 1 represents a package 1 using a cutout of packaging material 3, the example shown being a package containing four bottles 5. The package 1 has an upper part 4 which joins, by folding edges 8 ′, 8 ", two roof faces 12 ', 12". To these roof faces are connected, by folding edges 9 ', 9 ", lateral faces 13', 13" roughly perpendicular to the upper face 4. In the lower region, the lateral faces 13 ', 13 " join, by folding edges or grooves 10 ', 10 ", oblique parts 14', 14". To these oblique parts 14 ', 14 "are connected, by folding edges or grooves 11', 11", bottom flaps 15 ', 15 "which overlap partially and which, in the overlap region, are, for example, glued or assembled by embedding.

 At the folding edges 8 ', 8 "are provided T-slots 17', 17", 17 "'(see Figure 2), the deformation of which by the bottles 5 or by the capsules 6 arranged on them forms each time a cover tab 19 and flaps 21, 22.

 In the region of the oblique portions 14 ′, 14 ″, trapezoidal slots 26 ′, 26 ″, 26 ″ ’are provided (see FIG. 2) and the deformation by the bottles 5 forms tangential tabs 25 and flaps 28 ′, 28 ". It is thus ensured that the bottles 5 are firmly held inside the packaging 1. The bottles 5 therefore form themselves, during the packaging process, the openings necessary for the passage of the capsules 6 and of the bottom 16, at the places where they cross the faces 12 ', 12 "and 14', 14".

 FIG. 2 shows, flat, an example of execution of a packaging cutout according to the invention, intended for four containers, for example bottles.

 At the upper roof face 4 are symmetrically connected, each by a folding edge or a groove 8 ', 8 ", roof faces 12-', 12" which join, by other folding edges or grooves 9 ' , 9 ", side faces 13 ', 13". The lateral faces 13 ', 13 "are connected by folding edges or grooves 10', 10" to oblique portions 14 ', 14 ". The oblique portions 14', 14" in turn join by edges of folding 11 ', 11 "or grooves, bottom flaps 15', 15".

 In the region of the folding edges 8 ', 8 ", at the places where the container to be packaged subsequently touches or passes through the roof face 12', 12", T-slots 17 ', 17 ", 17" are made. '. A horizontal part 17 ', 17 "parallel to the folding edge 8', 8" is spaced below the folding edge, so that when the corresponding parts deform outwards, there remains a tongue of cover 19 located in the plane of the upper face 4. To facilitate the deformation of the cover tab 19 towards the outside, articulation slots 18 ′, 18 "are provided. The cover tabs 19 partially cover the upper surface containers, the capsules 6 in the embodiment of Figure 1. It is thus ensured that when packages are stacked on top of each other, it is the packages which come into contact with each other, but not the different containers .

 Ends of the horizontal parts 17 ′, 171 ′ of the T-shaped slot 17 start from the angled slots 29 ′, 20 ", which begin below the horizontal part 17 ′, 17" and go approximately to the end of the vertical part 17 "'. The arrangement is such that between the angled slots 20' and 20" and the T slots 17 ', 17 ", 17"', we obtain articulation threads 23 ', 23 "and 24 ', 24". Thanks to these articulation nets and to the corresponding slots, when the packaging is closed around the containers, flaps 21 and 22 are formed around the containers and are pushed outwards.

 This constitution is repeated at all the openings intended for the upper part of the containers, in the embodiment shown, it is repeated four times symmetrically.

 The slots intended for the points of passage of the lower part of the containers in bottles 5 are provided in the oblique parts 14 ', 1411. A trapezoidal slot 26', 26 ", 26" 'forms a tangential tongue 25 which, in the finished packaging, is roughly located in the plane of the lateral face 13 ′, 13 "and is applied tangentially against the bottles 5, so that when the packages are stacked side by side, they are again the packages only which abut against each other and not the containers directly.

 A hinge slot 27 ', 27 "forms flaps 28' 28 ', which remain connected to the packaging by hinge nets 29', 29". It is particularly advantageous that the articulation slot 27 ', 27 "is partially interrupted to form other articulation threads 30', 30".

 The region of the oblique parts 14 ', 14 ", which is formed by a part of the articulation slot 27', 27", up to the lower folding edge 11 ', 11 ", curves approximately horizontally outwards when the containers are packed and, in addition, forms a protection for the bottom of the containers.

 Thanks to this constitution and to this arrangement of the slots, according to the invention, a packaging material cut is obtained which does not give off and in which the nets and flaps formed assume additional protective functions for the packed containers.

 In addition, as shown in the drawings, in the upper face 4 can be provided slots 7 serving to form grip openings. The slots 7 are roughly semi-circular, so that the user can push a half-moon flap into the packaging which allows the packaging to be carried in a simple manner.

 The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described and shown. The packaging material cut can be designed for six, eight or more bottles, instead of the four bottles 5 shown. Instead of bottles, one can also pack containers in the form of a box. The relative dimensions of the different faces 12, 13, 14 and 15 are simply modified. The slots remain similar.

 The invention thus includes all the variants and all the developments within the reach of ordinary skill in the art, as well as partial combinations and sub-combinations of the characteristics and measures described and / or represented.
