Abstract

The transformer comprises a primary winding in the form of a copper spiral track on a printed circuit board. The spiral has between four and eight turns with an outside diameter of about 15mm, the track being between 0.8 and 1.6 mm in thickness. A first secondary coil is similarly formed on the opposite face of the printed circuit board concentric with the primary. The secondary has a large number of turns with an internal diameter of 3 to 4 mm and an outer diameter equal to the primary, the track thickness being about 2 mm. A further secondary may be similarly formed on top of the primary with an intermediate insulation layer.
