Abstract

The special brush (1) is used in the manual cleaning of e.g. a yacht's hull whilst the vessel is afloat. It has a long curved handle, and being manipulated by a single person standing on deck. The handle has an approximate 'J' shape with a brush (5) attached to the end, its curvature approximating to that (2) of the halved hull in transverse section. Wiper or scraper blades may be used instead of brush (5), the handle may be telescopic or demountable, and a float (6) may assist in the application of the head (5) to the hull.

Description

It is well known that if the hull of a boat is not clean and smooth, its speed is greatly diminished.

The example of the riders who careen their boats just before the regatta is well demonstrated.

If cleaning of the hull is usually done with the boat to dry, it may possibly be too (but difficult) the boat is afloat artificially cottage.

We must recognize that one does not always have the means or the time to do these operations requiring the preparation and facilities.

The present invention is to provide the means to one man, cleaning the hull of a boat normally afloat from one of the bridge without using a pontoon boat or an Annex.

The invention consists mainly atl monta'e interchangeable brush 5 to the end of a curved handle 1, allowing access r-different parts of the hull (hull) and the keel of a boat stream, the system user can be on the deck of this boat.

Description de ce principe (figure 1) Description of this principle (Figure 1)
Manche courbe 1, suivant au moins la forme d'une coque de bateau au maitre couple 2, terminé par exemple en sa partie supérieure par deux poignée 3 et 4 perpendiculaires et dans l'axe du manche 1, distantes d'environ 60 cm l'une de l'autre ; Curved handle 1 along at least the shape of a boat hull to the master pair 2, terminated by example in its upper part by two handle 3 and 4 are perpendicular and the axis of the shaft 1, spaced approximately 60 cm l 'from each other; En sa partie inférieure, au bout opposé du manche courbe 1, se monte une brosse 5 qui peut être demi cylindrique, ou une raclette. In its lower part, at the opposite end of the curved handle 1, a brush 5 is mounted which can be semi-cylindrical, or a squeegee.

These cleaning elements 5 are preferably fixed with limited clearance at the end of the handle 1.

In the vicinity of the brush 5 can optionally be mounted (at will) a float 6, allowing good contact of brush 5 with the underside of the hull due to the tendency to rise of the assembly (Figure 3).

The curve 1 handle may be removable and / or telescopic and different radii according vessels dimensions to clean.

It is of course remains that many changes may be made to the embodiment of the handle 1 described above, in reference to the accompanying drawings without a departure from the scope of the present invention. Thus, in particular the handles 3 and 4 can be realized in different ways as well as the fastener de..la brush or squeegee 5 on the curve handle 1 that all materials can be used, but the stainless steel appears nevertheless be ideal for Cetto building because of its water resistance mcr in particular.

The user, up on the edge of the deck of the boat, holding in his hands the two handles, thanks to curved handle can atteindro with the brush not only waterline but égale- lies the hull itself and the keel of a sailing boat for example (figures 2-3-4).

This setting is used being particularly easy, fairings are frequently made without prior maneuvers or loss of time.
