Abstract

The drive transmission is esp. for small tractors. The transmission is based on the use of two belt driven pulleys engaged selectively by two centrifugal clutches. These drive a number of epicyclic planetary gear chains on each side of the mechanism and satellites mounted radially between the clutch and the differential. The satellite gears may be braked selectively allowing different speeds at the differential take-offs as a function of the clutch engagement and of the satellite braking. The pulley coupling axial movement is controlled by two electromagnetic coils or by a mechanical link.
