Abstract

Appts. allowing the collection of solar energy etc. comprises a converting collector with thin plates, a pressure regulating device and means of thermal exchange or storage. The collector operates at substantially atmospheric pressure. The pressure regulating system is static and does not include a degassing pump. The construction of a collector of large surface is possible without considerable increase in plate thickness bringing about increase in wt. and thermal inertia and high cost. The fluid being at atmospheric pressure, the flow takes place with a max. distribution of thermal gradient without convection or pressure in the fibrous medium. This gives reliability with simple construction and low cost.
