Abstract

The solar ray concentrator employs a detector to permit tracking of the sun. The detector is subjected to a double rotational movement comprising a constant daily rotation and a seasonal rotation which is perpendicular to it. A detector concentrator (a) for the solar rays is mounted on a frame (b) of tubular elements which rotates in a Polar orientated axis (A, A') when driven by a motor (c) and reduction gearing (d). This assembly rests on the ground while the rear part is supported by a bipod (e) at the required seasonal inclination. This is balanced by a counterweight (g). Conical bearings support the structure for its rotation while the detector is raised on the frame to modify the angular position to obtain the required seasonal inclination.
