Abstract

A touch keyboard comprises an insulating support plate (1) and mounts various components and a printed circuit as well as metallised conductor zones (4) during first contacts of the keyboard switches. A second, transparent and flexible plate (5) is spaced from the lower plate (1) by an insulator sheet (2) formed with holes at the first contacts. The upper plate (5) also has metallised conductor zones (4) forming second contact connected by conductors (7) to selected parts of the printed circuit on the support plate (1). Pressure on the upper plate (5) causes the selected first and second contacts to close. A lamp or light emitting diode (16) illuminats each switch, and the whole assembly is housed in a rigid housing (9) with openings for access to the upper plate-(5).
