Abstract

The high security teller's window for use in banks etc. has synchronised sliding shutters (10,11) parallel to the major vertical counter plane and on opposite sides of the counter. A floor to ceiling partition (1) of counter width is provided at the teller (28) station and accommodating the shutters at each end of the opening. The shutters are of suitable bullet proof material and define a transfer chamber (4) in which funds etc. are placed. They are subjected to coordinated displacements whereby one or other of the two access windows is always closed, and may slide horizontally or vertically.
