Abstract

The land mine is box shaped and normally rests on a lower plate and has an upper plate and side ones. The box contains explosive with a hollow. By one side there are two parallel openings. The nearest opening is open at the top and contains a charge. The next has a communicating hole to the first and is filled with a slow burning charge. When this is firmed, after a delay, the charge is fired and gas is discharged. If the mine is reversed, the gas force rights it.
