Abstract

The clasp for a wristwatch is formed by two arms joined for articulated movement at one end. Their free ends each have a bearing partly closed at one end so that the end of each strap section can be inserted in the bearing and held secure by e.g. screw. The strap section attached to the outer arm covers it, whilst the section attached to the inner arm is stretched out towards the other one. The fastening device is independent of the strap section and allows the latter to be cut to the required length before fastening.
