Pâte céramique de revêtement de la garniture réfractaire intérieure de conteneurs métallurgiques, caractérisée en ce qu'elle renferme, en proportions rapportées à son état sec, de 2 6 % en poids d'argile réfractaire, jusqu'à 2 % en poids de sulfate de magnésium ou de silicate de sodium et comme additifs de 0,5 à 1,5 % en poids de sulfate ferrique ou de sulfate d'aluminium ou de chlorure ferreux, ainsi que de 0,2 à 0,6 % en poids de composés dégageant de l'oxygène en milieu aqueux, tels que perborate de sodium, percarbonate de sodium, perchlorate de sodium.
