Abstract
The process measures the volume of the heart by attenuation with an indicator agent, which is injected in a quantity at constant flow rate during a time corresponding to two heartbeats at least. The concentration of the agent dependent on the time, expressed whole-number periods, is recorded in being the time necessary to reach maximum concentration. The period of the heart cycle is simultaneously recorded. The values measured are processed to obtain the heart volume.
