Abstract

L'invention décrit la production de billes de carbure de tungstène contenant Co. On forme des gouttelettes d'un mélange liquide comprenant des particules de carbure de tungstène, de la gomme guar, un sel de Co dissous et un agent non ionique de mouillage; on met les particules au contact (en moins d'une heure) d'une base pour précipiter le Co (gouttelettes de gel précipitées). On place ces gouttelettes dans un récipient à faible conductibilité thermique et l'on chauffe en atmosphère réductrice pour enlever la gomme guar et fritter le carbure et Co. Un usinage de finition de cette ébauche donne des billes pour stylos à bille.
