Abstract

La présente invention concerne une terminaison pour fibre optique à gradient d'indice. Une embase 11 munie d'un trou borgne reçoit l'extrémité d'une fibre optique 10. Le trou borgne est aligné avec l'axe d'une lentille à gradient d'indice dont la longueur est égale à un nombre entier impair de quarts de la longueur d'onde caractéristique de la lentille. Deux terminaisons placées bout à bout et adjacentes l'une à l'autre permettent de réaliser un coupleur à faibles pertes. L'invention trouve un exemple d'application dans le domaine des transmissions optiques.
