Abstract
L'invention concerne un palier de retenue pour rotors tournant à des vitesses hypercritiques, ce palier entourant le rotor et étant mis en action et hors d'action à partir des mouvements radiaux du rotor. Ce palier est caractérisé en ce qu'un entrefer défini est prévu entre le palier de retenue 13 et le rotor 12, cet entrefer étant au moins aussi grand que l'amplitude de vibration maximale du rotor en fonctionnement nominaL L'invention est applicable notamment aux rotors de turbines et compresseurs.
