Abstract

Appts. comprises a coupling connecting a tube (I) to the water supply; the tube is fitted with a reducing valve, pressure gauge, a gate valve and a on-return valve, and it is connected to a filter and a water-softener. The tube (I) is connected by a branch pipe to a disinfectant reservoir via a pump. The water-softener is connected by a pipe to another filter, a sampling and rise tap and a connector which links it to the artificial kidney. A siphon receives collected rinse water. The portable appts. hides all the complex accessories from the patient and prevents any pollution of the fluids by outside agents. The controls are grouped and are readily accessible.
