Abstract

The vehicle fuel tank filler pipe has a cap (1) which can be fitted with a lock and key. The cap is connected to a funnel (2) and the funnel joins onto a pipe (3). The pipe and funnel are bonded together and the pipe is fitted with a joint (7) where it enters the tank. The funnel has a sealing ring (5) which carries a number of studs (8) by which the funnel is fixed to the body work. The tube may be made from flexible plastics material, reinforced by metal rings over the bellows of the tube.
