Abstract

The equipment is fitted to a fork lift truck and is used for handling plastic drums, these being held in quantities from one to four drums. It comprises a fixed part, attached to the mast of the truck, and a sliding part used to open and close the jaws of the equipment, making use of the weight of the drums. The holding jaws comprise two fixed jaws, near the mast, and two mobile jaws which are attached to horizontal pivoted levers projecting forwards. These are operated by a system of levers and cables located behind the fixed part.
