Abstract

A plastics clip for securing pipes or electric cables consists of a head (1) and a flexible strap (13). The head has a slot (2) with its lower surface (26) in line with the upper surface of the strap (13). A boss (5) has a threaded hole (6) for an attachment bolt. The strap is looped around the pipe or cable and the end threaded through the slot (2). The upper surface of the strap has a series of ratchet teeth (11) which engages the tip 15a) of a flexible pawl (15) moulded integrally with the head. Similar teeth (10) are formed in the edges of the strap and engage pawls projecting from the sides of the slot.
