Abstract

Pipes or hoses for drip feed irrigation from a pipe discharging at intervals into outlets comprising a non-linear passage between >=2 layers of flexible thermoplastic sheet joined by weld lines which bound the outlet passage. Used for either buried or suspended pressure pipe supplies feeding integral or individually connected outlets. The passage profiles can be designd for various pressure drop levels to provide a restrained discharge from the feeder pipes. Pref. designs are self-regulating so that outlets having high input pressures bend to increase flow restriction, so that outlets at various distances along a single ended supply discharge at similar rates despite the progressive pressure drop along the supply pipe.
