Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour assurer la sustentation magnétique d'un rotor de machine tournante, ainsi qu'une machine de stockage d'énergie inertielle équipée d'un tel dispositif. Selon l'invention la machine de stockage M comprend essentiellement un volant d'inertie 3 de forme discoïdale à axe de rotation vertical; un ensemble électrodynamique générateur ou moteur 55 pour le stockage et la restitution d'énergie, disposé à la partie supérieure du volant; un palier magnétique passif 6, 8 travaillant en répulsion pour assurer la sustentation du volant est disposé à sa partie inférieure; et un ensemble de trois paliers magnétiques actifs 15, 20 pour assurer le centrage du volant, disposés à la partie périphérique du volant et destinés à annuler les déplacements transversaux, angulaires et axiaux du volant L'invention s'applique notamment au stockage d'énergie sous forme inertielle
