Abstract

The elevator is for the distribution of bales of straw or hay, lifting them one at a time moving them lengthwise. An inclined channel houses the elevator on which the bales are loosely piled, the width of teh channel being slightly greater than the widht of the bales. The channel is flanked by a sloping side panel, which serves to intercept the bales which start the move up the elevator perched on top of other bales. The slope of the channel is such that normally the bales perched on top of others slide over them to the bottom of the elevator.
