Abstract

The vehicle detector uses an inductive current loop (4) which is embedded in the road surface and which is connected to a resonance amplifier (2), receiving an input signal from a frequency generator (1). The output of the resonance amplifier (2) is connected to a frequency-responsive circuit (5), which is itself connected to an integrator (6). A signal forming circuit responsive to the vehicle entering the inductive current loop (4) and a signal forming circuit responsive to the vehicle leaving it are provided in the form of a differential amplifier (7), connected to the integrator (6). The output of the differential amplifier (7) is connected to a threshold circuit (8) in series, with an output device (9).
