Abstract

The loading mechanism is for a system automatically depositing sacks or crates on loading platforms and comprises a box-shaped casing, open at the side at which the items are delivered to it, and also partly at the top, while the base halves swing downwards on lateral hinges. It's capacity is sufficient for a large number of items delivered in succession through the open end, and aids the thrusting of the items towards the closed end. A drive mechanism swings the base halves downwards as soon as the casing is filled with the requisite number of items. There can be an acceleration device for the items before they enter the casing.
