Abstract
DC motor has two coaxial identical annular permanent magnets and windings are arranged between the magnets. The coil windings are lozenge shaped and wound on soft iron cores, the overall thickness of the windings is as little as possible. They are shaped so that they conform to the inter magnet geometry. The windings are symmetrical about the motor median line. The opposing angles of the lozenge being 360/n degrees where 'n' is the number of windings. The coils are folded symmetrically about the diagonal connecting the two other angles of the lozenge.
