Abstract

The fishing rod has a hollow handle, formed in two parts. The front part has an internal sleeve locating the end of the rod. Inside the sleeve is a tubular insert (8) its central portion flattened (10). The fixing stem (3) for the reel has a flat plate (3a) fitting on the flattened portion of the insert and protruding through the handle. It is held in plate by the rear part (2) of the handle, this being screwed (11, 15) onto the insert. This rear handle has an outer cover, matching the front part, and an inner sleeve (13, 14), which is provided with the mating threaded portion.
