Abstract
A heat pump system for air-conditioning and particularly the hearing of premises, incorporates a heat engine driving the compressor of a heat pump operating on the compression cycle. The engine cooling circuit is connected to the heating circuit of a second absorption-type heat pump. The condensers of the pumps are used to heat a fluid, and their evaporators extract calories from the surroundings. The engine exhaust gases can be passed through a boiler-type heat exchanger of the second heat pump, which operates on the absorption cycle.
