Abstract
Mechanism for opening and closing moulding tools by using a combination of coaxial reciprocating ram motion for the final closure/initial parting movement and a ram and lever pivoting action for swinging the mobile tool rapidly aside from teh fixed tool face. Esp. suitable for short cycle time, high speed moulding equipment using either single or gang tools. Provides more rapid opening/closing cycles than is readily possible with wimple coaxial reciprocating motion, coupled with almost shock -free closing contact, hence less tool wear or noise.
