Abstract

The arrangement comprises a tubular element (30) which fits over part (14) of a handlebar of the bicycle. A fixed electrical contact (23) and a movable contact (24) are provided inside this element, the element being sufficiently resilient to allow deformation by hand such that the movable contact is made to contact the fixed contact. At least the moving contact may be contained whoolly or partly within the solid cross-section of the element. The contacts (23, 24) may be sepd. by an electrically insulating elastomeric member (25) loaded with electrically conductive particles such that, in relaxed condition, this member is electrically insulating and in compressed condition conducting.
