Abstract

The expandable weatherproof boat or shoe for use during recovery from foot injury has two-piece interlaced uppers with strap fastened cover and masking flaps built onto an orthopaedic sole. The uppers are split into two along a line on the long shoe axis, thus, requiring criss-cross lace fastenings longitudinally along the top of the foot from toe to ankle opening (OA) and vertically behind the heel (OP). The frontal cover (P) is of tongue form extending from the front sole tip to be fastened via transverse strap and buckle, and the back cover (T) hinges from the sole in the lateral heel area, wraps around the heel, and is fastened via strap and buckle traversing the top of the heel from one side of the shoe to the other.
