Abstract

The device holds together two components with a circular cross-section. A sheath (2) round the outside of the assembly has a groove (3) in which is placed a band (4). The band, has two free ends (8, 9) passing through slots in a number of locking ' pins (5). The pins have an internal spring against which the band (4) pas presses. Tightening the band pulls the pins radially inwards to hold the components together. The band is tightened by rotating an accentric device with two arms in which the ends of the band are hooked. An indicator (7) protrudes above the level of the sheath when the assembly is unlocked, and is pulled inwards by the tightening band.
