Abstract

Portable concrete mixer, esp., for fine grained mixes, has a vertical cylindrical mixing drum (1) and is carried "stretcher" fashion by two men or moved "wheelbarrow" fashion by one man. With parallel horizontal support bars (8) and a retractable wheel (10) and legs (11). The mixer is compact for use on scaffolding platforms etc., and typically handles 25Kg., bag batches. The mixing drum proportions are related to mix constituent particle size and the workability of mixes of pulverised products. Concrete produced can be extracted from either side of a reception tray (14) by virtue of the retractable wheel (10).
