Abstract

A door hinge has a bracket (26) mounted on e.g. the frame, with a block (10) extending from it, carrying a spindle acting as the hinge pin, the spindle having a threaded portion at the top. The door (27) carries a further bracket (21) with a boss (15) extending from it, into which is inserted a flange bush (16) which can rotate inside the boss to permit the door to swing. The hinge pin is of square section and fits inside a square hole (16') through the bush. The assembly is held together by a domed nut (17') screwed onto the end of the threaded hinge pin. A lug (24) on the bottom of the boss locates on a similar lug (25) on the first bracket (10), to act as a locking device.
