Abstract

There are metal elements which conduct electricity and which are square plates arranged so that adjacent ones have opposite polarities. The plates are carried by a wooden support which takes the loads imposed by the vehicles and which insulates the conducting plates from each other. There is insulating material in the joints between the plates. Each vehicle has eight collectors (1-8) so that two are always in contact with plates of opposite polarity. These collectors (1-8) are connected to a diode circuit to prevent short circuits. The supply is at 24 volts. Each collector circuit comprises two parallel branches with diodes to positive and negative terminals of a use circuit.
