Abstract

A bevel crown wheel is fixed to a gear case and drives, in a planetary motion, two single bevel pinions which are free to rotate on an axle in the case. These pinions drive two double bevel pinions. each fixed to a wheel half shaft. The other side of each double bevel pinion meshes with two single bevel pinions which rotate freely about an axle located in a bearing forming part of each wheel half shaft. Both sets of pinions also mesh, on their opposite sides, with single bevel gears fixed to each end of the gear case and having a resultant planetary motion.
