Abstract

The main fuel tank is connected to the fuel meter via a pre-filter. It is then led across a non return valve (5) to the fuel lift pump, a filter, and then to the fuel injection pump. The non return valve (5) is at the base of a reservoir (1) to receive injector spill, which may be gaseous. The injector spill is fed to the top of the spill tank via another non return valve (4). Another connection from the top of the spill tank (1) is taken via another non return valve (3) to the fuel injection pump. The spill is thus returned either to the left pump or direct into the fuel injection pump.
