Abstract

A fuel supply system has two concentric flow-connected circular channels having a circular cross-section and an open circular slit. The opening of the inlet to the carburretor cchamber is varied in size by a membrane-operated throttle body. A finger rigidly couples the throttle body with a needle-shaped throttle part in the main fuel supply line. The inner circular channel incorporates a heater for preheating the fuel before it leaves the circular slit. The throttle body has a double truncated cone shaped head with an axial cylindrical cutout by means of which it moves on a central guide part having an axial aperture which is flow-connected to an upper vacuum chamber enclosed by a cover and a spring loaded membrane. When the throttle flap is opened, the suction action in the vacuum chamber moves the throttle body upwards and thereby enlarges the inlet opening.
