Abstract

The unit monitors the output of urine from a patient to whom it is connected by a probe. The urine flows into calibrated compartments which are brought one by one at regular intervals beneath the inlet. This can be moved at regular intervals above the different compartments, which can be of any desired volume, and the unit can also be used for collecting liquids other than urine. The design allows the rate to be checked at any desired interval, e.g. hourly. The unit may be transported using retractable handles.
