Abstract

Comprises a horizontal sliding bolt with radial conical hole in the shank and a tapered head. A set screw with pointed end locates through the first member to be joined and on tightening, off centre, into the conical hole draws in the bolt. A collar, housed in the second member, is expanded and hence gripped by the bolt head movement. The expandable collar is either a plastic or slit metal ring. Uses are 'butt' joining shelves and tubular members at right angles.
