Abstract
Silencers for fixing e.g. to jet engines, air brakes comprises a gas-impermeable sleeve defining a receiver, and supported on a framework having structural elements provided with edge surfaces, designed to tough the sleeve so as to close off the receiver, as well as having fixing means and gas inlet means the sleeve being formed from an elastic material pref. silicone rubber designed to move away from the edges of the frame elements under gas press. in such a way as to permit the gas to leave the receiver.
