Abstract
Cooling cell for X-ray and neutron generators, one piece of which is submitted to a flow of heat, of the known type consisting of at least one tube carrying a heat transport liquid metal, and a heat exchange portion having one part with a shape and dimensions adapted to those of the cell piece, the other part forming a section of the flow of liquid metal, pre-determined as a function of the heat to be removed, the special feature of the arrangement being that the wall of the heat-receiving surface is reduced in thickness so that the temp. gradient between this surface and the stream of metal within the heat exchange position is reduced to a minimum.
