Abstract

Extrusion of profiles which can form a cylindrical rod with radiating capillary slots and a rough (embossed) surface which creates gaps between the profile and an extruded sheath. The radiating slits provide ink flow channels leading to the tip, and the clearance (0.03 - 0.06 mm) between the core and the sheath is narrower, pref. by a factor of 6.7/7.7, for preferential filling of the ink reservoir by capillary action. Pref. core profiles are of polyacetal or polyamide resin.
