Abstract

A flux is made, containing anhydrous metallic chlorides and fluorides, and a thin uniform layer of it is deposited on parts of the workpieces, before joining them. This compound is partially melted, for a sjort time and the pieces are brazed subsequently at a suitable temp., immediately after the compound is deposited. Specifically the flux deposition is made by blowing powder that is heated to its melting point.
